Develop A New Relationship
with Time:

Getting The Important Stuff Done

Do you ever end your day exhausted with nothing to show for it?
Does it feel like you’re running a million miles a minute and yet not getting traction on what’s most important?

If you’re like most business owners, you’re trying to “catch up” by working more hours or trying to juggle more things. You know there has to be a better way, but you are too worn out to figure it out.

Dr. Arianne Weiner is a business strategist who gets it. She was once there herself, racing to get caught up only to fall farther and farther behind.

“Developing a New Relationship with Time” is based on a framework Dr. Weiner developed using her experience in business psychology, corporate consulting, and business coaching.

In this interactive virtual session, you will learn to:

  • Recognize your time-wasters without judgment
  • Get more done in less time
  • Set goals that make sense to you (not just look good on a vision board)

Dr. Arianne Weiner possesses an enthusiastic personality combined with pragmatic business insight that has helped her clients increase their business effectiveness for over twenty years. She specializes in executive and entrepreneur coaching, management training and organizational and personal development. First, Dr. Weiner undergoes the assessment and discovery phase to uncover underlying causes, then utilizes each team’s or individual’s strengths to overcome obstacles in order to deliver results and make tangible progress.

Arianne understands there is a symbiotic relationship between you and your business, and that the obstacles you face in your personal life affect your professional life. As such, she effectively guides you to solve both in order to elevate the other. Dr. Weiner teaches leaders to utilize their physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual energy in order to function at their PEAK performance. When needed, she can recommend integrated solutions for your business based from her expansive experience and large network.

Dr. Weiner’s clients range from individuals, solopreneurs, small business owners and corporations. She builds a customized roadmap for success by breaking down barriers and removing counterproductive thinking. As CEO of the Eastern Sierra Development and Training Institute (ESDTI), Dr. Weiner has specialized expertise and passion for working with businesses in gateway, resort and mountain towns.

Funny Means Money for Coaches:

Strategic Humor to Grow Your Business

Humor in coaching is no joke—but it can be a laughing matter. Any coach worth his or her salt knows that humor can be a powerful communication tool. But there is a huge difference between recognizing the power of humor AND proficiently applying humor. Science shows humor used appropriately and intentionally can strengthen relationships, build trust, enhance influence, spark insights, increase likability, boost resilience and much, much more. When used competently, humor can enhance your—AND your client’s—experience. But when implemented poorly—yikes! The results can be disastrous. Discover how to harness the power of humor in your coaching practice—even if you’re not funny!

In this interactive virtual session, you will learn:

  • List the 3 purposes of humor.
  • Recognize the 7 competencies of High Performance Humor for coaches.
  • Describe at least three benefits of humor for the client in a coaching session.

Karyn Buxman is a TEDx speaker, successful author, brain-based high-performance coach—and a neurohumorist (she lives at the intersection of humor and the brain.) As The Global Expert in Strategic Humor for Business Karyn helps high performers go from great to world class. From the Mayo Clinic to the Million Dollar Round Table, organizations around the world hire Karyn to educate, inspire, and entertain their audiences again and again. She’s one of 254 people (and only 53 women) in the world to be inducted into the National Speakers Association's Speaker Hall of Fame. Her latest book, “Funny Means Money: Strategic Humor for Influence & World Domination” will be published by ForbesBooks in 2021. Karyn is serious about humor!

The Hidden Secrets of
Coaching Effectively using Zoom

How to create a virtual coaching environment that is conducive to your confidence and your coaching client’s results

With all the twists and changes that 2020 brought with her, perhaps the most important transition that many service providers experience, is the shift from delivering services in-person to using the Internet as their “meeting place”.

While this is an opportunity to expand your reach as a coach and teach anyone in the world, it comes with a need to up-level your command of the virtual environment. The level of intimacy and trust that you used to create in your in-person environment must now be created on Zoom.

The problem is, most people today feel “zoomed-out”.  Your job is to overcome their resistance (and maybe yours, too). Your goal is for your clients to leave your meetings energized and excited!

In this live workshop, you will learn…

  • A simple strategy to create a virtual coaching environment that is conducive to your confidence and your coaching client’s results.
  • Ways to become an engaging meeting leader on-line and keep your message clear and your attendees engaged.
  • Configuration tips to set up your coaching sessions for optimal performance vis-à-vis the goals of each meeting.

Zoom gives you helpful tools and features that you might not be aware of. This presentation will lay the path for you to fully realize your coaching potential in the on-line space.

Yoram Baltinester is a self-described serial entrepreneur since 1985.  Yoram led a successful career in the Middle East, Europe and North America, creating a half dozen high-tech and personal development companies. During these decade, Yoram created and refined the LifeDesign Method and the Decisive Action Protocol. These tools facilitate effective leadership, high-quality decision-making, purposeful engagement, and the creation of meaningful success in life without sacrificing balance.

In 2010 Yoram gave up working in the office and transitioned his whole company to the work-from-home model. In 2013, he sold the company and started his current coaching business, Decisive Action Workshops, growing it as a solopreneur, working from home and using Zoom as his on-line platform.

Yoram has twice been named an Amazon International Best Selling author; has been featured in Influential People Magazine, has spoken on stages at Microsoft TechEd, Pitbull Conference, FemmePower, and Ultimate Millionaire Summit. He even served on the board of the San Diego Professional Coaches Alliance!

Prepare for and Hire a Virtual Assistant

When your physical or mental space is too cluttered, you can often get distracted easily, lose focus and momentum on projects, or suffer from shiny object syndrome. Can you relate?

What stops you from moving forward and getting the help you need is clarity.

If you’ve been contemplating getting help to take those projects and repeating tasks off your plate so you can focus on your Zone of Genius work -- then this session is for you!

During that time she has worked in over 50 countries with such varied groups as CEOs of Fortune 100 companies, the US Military, Buddhist Monks, Tribal Chiefs, Law Enforcement Agencies, Universities, and non-profit organizations. Grow Your Business Faster with Affiliate Partners

Every business needs to engage in marketing activities to generate leads. One form of marketing that is familiar to most businesses is to make or receive warm introductions to and from other people and businesses that you know and trust.

What if you were actively working with people who could introduce you to new qualified leads for your business from their audience, and promote your offers to their audience either with you or on your behalf, and in return you share a portion of the sales proceeds with them for the referral.

And, what if you do the same for them in return for a portion of their sales proceeds?

Everyone wins - the partner receiving the referrals,
the partner making the referrals,
and their mutual clients.

These win-win-win affiliate referral relationships are called affiliate relationships or Joint Ventures, and the business owners who are collaborating are often referred to as joint venture partners or affiliate partners.

In this highly interactive presentation, you will get structures for:

  • How to set up joint venture relationships to help grow and scale your business
  • How to craft your joint venture invitation offer to potential JV partners
  • Specific steps you can take to become “JV ready”

The Keys to Unlocking Greater Success in Ourselves and Those We Coach

June 8, 2020

All coaches desire to have a positive impact on their clients. Unfortunately, they often overlook a personal attribute that is critical for personal and leadership development: Mindsets. And even if they do focus on and value mindsets, they often do not have clarity on what mindsets they need to focus on and develop within their clients.  In this session, the latest in psychology and neuroscience will be presented to explain the power and importance of mindsets for personal development, and show how specific mindsets have been proven to be necessary for personal and leadership success.

To better understand your mindset, registered attendees will be provided a link to complete an optional personal mindset assessment.

In this session, Ryan Gottfredson, Ph.D will:

  • Present 30+ years of academic research demonstrating the power and importance of focusing on mindsets when working with clients
  • Identify the mindsets coaches need to ensure they
    • have their desired effect on their clients and
    • continue to grow their business
  • Apply the latest in neuropsychological research to identify new, bolder ways
    of developing leaders and clients

Ryan Gottfredson, Ph.D. is a mental success coach and cutting-edge leadership consultant, author, trainer, and researcher. He helps improve organizations, leaders, teams, and employees by improving their mindsets. Currently a leadership professor at California State University-Fullerton, he holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources from Indiana University. The Coach as Speaker:
How to Create a Masterful Speaking Presence

May 11, 2020

Speaking to groups is the number one way to build a coaching practice, but only if who you’re being in front of the room is as present, authentic, and sincere as when you’re interacting with clients. But, what’s the key to making it happen? Never stop being a coach!  Apply the same core competencies to speaking as you do to your coaching.  Create a safe and supportive environment in your room that honors your audience’s agenda. When you’re open and flexible in the moment, you create a dynamic synergy with your audience.

In this interactive and thought-provoking presentation, you will learn:
  • How to manifest a presence that’s warm and genuine while being profoundly audience-focused
    and intensely purposeful.
  • How the message you send goes beyond the words you speak.
  • What goes into creating a compelling, interactive presentation that evokes insight and
encourages people to expand their thinking.
  • How to provide masterful coaching as you engage audience members.
  • How to make an offer from the stage that speaks to the needs of your audience members and lands
like an opportunity for further exploration and growth … and how to stay unattached as you do it!

The bottom line:  Talking with a client in a coaching setting is very much like speaking to a group
of people you don’t know … if you approach it the right way.

Selling Your Services Through Stories

Argumentsrarely shift intuitions; it’s through stories that we revise our sense of what’s natural.  [Stories are] ‘intuition pumps.

                                     - Cynthia Burnham, New Yorker Magazine, March 27,  2017

The bottom line is that you will never inspire, teach, or sell as well with dry, boring facts alone – it is the story behind the data that creates connection, emotional response, and buying decisions.

Cynthia Burnham will teach us how to make data come alive through stories and the underlying concepts of storytelling – even in small segments – and how to positively-influence the decisions of our clients and potential clients by structuring information in a way they can hear and be intrigued by.

In this insightful and interactive presentation, you will learn:

  • The neuroscientific basis for decision-making, and why the brain has a bias for stories
  • How to recognize and use emotional hooks, micro-messages, and directed expressions to create mini-stories that link to emotions and create connection with clients
  • Ways to structure discussions of past successes and make data feel like a story that make you more “real,” credible, and accessible to your potential clients

Cynthia Burnham, Master Corporate Executive Coach (MCEC), author of "The Charisma Edge," is a Wall Street dropout, a professional singer, a brain hobbyist, and a person who likes her work way too much to retire quite yet. In her corporate years, she learned that all the credentials in the world wouldn’t help you if you couldn’t make a powerful and compelling connection with the important people around you, and, since leaving her SVP job 15 years ago, has made it her business to help people get out of their own way and learn to own their best selves, while delivering business results.

Since then, she has helped hundreds of groups and thousands of people in a variety of industries, including Sony, Booz Allen Hamilton, Allianz Global Investors, Providence Health, UBS, Genentech, Illumina, AMN Healthcare, Pfizer, UCSD, and the RAND Corporation. Cynthia has been a featured speaker at symposiums, and is the author of “The Charisma Edge: A How-to Guide For Turning On Your Leadership Power.” A million years ago, she also earned an MBA from UCLA, and a BA in Creative Studies from UCSB.

She was recently designated one of Marshall Goldsmith’s MG100 Coaches.

Cindy has an explicit personal mission to help others become more powerful, confident, and aligned with who they are at their deepest, most authentic core, while delivering business results.

When Motivation Science Meets Coaching—How Integrating Motivational Conversations Takes Your Coaching Practice to a New Level

January 13, 2020

Susan reveals a science-based approach to help people identify their motivational outlook, shift from sub-optimal to optimal motivation, and reflect on their shift to prompt behavior change and sustain the optimal motivation required for achieving complex and long-term goals. Coaches discover how Motivation Conversations are distinctly different, yet compliment, traditional coaching.

Motivation science has evolved. Groundbreaking research reveals the truth about our nature and human motivation that leads to major motivation breakthroughs on routine tasks and significant goals. We are finally coming out of the dark ages of motivation practices that have thwarted or eroded the optimal motivation necessary for creativity, innovation, sustainable high performance, and overall wellbeing.

Motivation is a skill that anyone can learn, nurture, and apply to experience optimal motivation anytime and anywhere they choose. People don’t need to depend on willpower or wait for leaders, teachers, parents, or coaches to create an environment that is optimally motivating. They can pro-actively apply three scientific truths to shift your own motivation reality.Coaches are uniquely positioned to help people apply these scientific truths

Susan will invite you to consider how to integrate motivation conversations into your coaching practices. Moving people forward on their goals through problem solving and action planning when they don’t have optimal motivation is like building castles on sand. The energy to pursue their goals simply erodes.

  • An opening activity is designed for participants to experience different motivational outlooks. Participants also practice facilitating a partner’s motivation shift using scientifically derived questions. Participants are challenged to share “what’s become clear”  but also ask the pivotal question that can help clarify this radically different approach to dealing with motivation issues.
  • Examine the motivation science underlying the approach to Motivation Conversations
  • Practice using questions to create Choice, Connection, and Competence—the three psychological needs required for optimal motivation
  • Explore ways Motivation Conversations can be integrated into coaching protocols to facilitate your client’s motivational shift to generate the positive energy needed for accomplishing routine tasks or major goals

Susan Fowler implores leaders to stop trying to motivate people. In her bestselling book, she explains WHY MOTIVATING PEOPLE DOESN’T WORK… AND WHAT DOES: The New Science of Leading, Engaging, and Energizing,

Susan educates leaders and coaches on motivation best practices based on solid science communicated through compelling storytelling, case studies, and real-life examples. Through her writing, speaking, consulting, training, and coaching, Susan is dedicated to providing leaders and coaches around the globe with a cutting-edge framework, dynamic model, and pragmatic course of action to shape workplaces and personal conditions where people flourish while producing sustainable results.

Susan is the author of by-lined articles, peer-reviewed research, and six books, including Achieve Leadership Genius with Drea Zigarmi and Dick Lyles, the bestselling Self Leadership and the One Minute Manager with Ken Blanchard.
